The red concrete house in Podgorica represents a harmonious blend of nostalgia and a forward-looking vision. Originally conceived as
a single-roof structure, it was divided into two sections for two families. Construction began in 1974, featuring robust foundations anchored on a natural rock formation.
As time passed and needs evolved, the owners expanded the property by acquiring additional land from their neighbors. This allowed for the addition of a pool and the construction
of two additional floors, transforming the residence into a mini hotel with rental studios. A new staircase was incorporated along the south façade, facilitating circulation
throughout the building and providing access to the upper levels.
The top floor features a uniquely shaped roof that lends a modern, contemporary aesthetic to the overall structure. The facade underwent several iterations, ultimately achieving
a final design with a warm red tint in the concrete, enhancing the building’s inviting character.
To enhance privacy, a row of greenery was introduced between the pool and the house. Additionally, a concrete wall with a pergola runs along the perimeter, creating a tranquil
space for relaxation and intimacy for its residents.
