The project presents the refurbishment of a small café-restaurant in Prčanj, Montenegro’s charming town within the breathtaking Boka Kotorska region. This area is renowned for its stunning combination of a serene sea and majestic mountains.

The café-restaurant has been designed as an extension of the 18th Century Monastery of Saint Nicholas museum. Following the strict historical preservation guidelines, our design proposal takes a discreet approach, respecting and preserving the existing walls and objects in their original state. Situated within the museum’s sideyard, we have created a subtle elevation of the floor and introduced a carefully crafted sitting platform. This allows users to enjoy an artfully framed view of the nearby sea and mountains through the enduring, centuries-old walls.
